CSCs are the front-end delivery points for G2C, B2C and social sector services to citizens of India. The CSCs are manned by village level entrepreneur (VLE),who are appointed to deliver these services. Presently CSCs are delivering a plethora of services:- Financial Inclusion services such as Banking, Insurance, Pension, Education services such as digital literacy, NDLM, Financial literacy etc, Health Services such as telemedicine, Jan Aushadhi, Other G2C services such as Railway ticketing , Election, Land records, UID and Passport, electricity bill collection etc and B2C services.
CSCs are more than service delivery points in rural and urban India; they are positioned as change agents, promoting rural entrepreneurship and building rural capacities and livelihoods. They are enablers of community participation and collective action for engendering social change. CSCs are emerging as the most viable option for service delivery to rural India by public and private sector alike, thereby contributing to a digitally and financially inclusive society.
